Service learning, especially arts-based service learning, is one of my true passions in life. Engaging students in hands-on reflective activities that is tied to the curriculum allows them to create personal meaning from academic knowledge. As the arts convey insight and truth of our communities and culture, what better way is there to search for personal meaning than to tie the two together?
